I am very proud to be reappointed to the Board of Connecticut’s State Legislative Commission on Aging to serve a third term. I can not say enough good things about the dedicated staff of the Legislative Commission on Aging and how tirelessly they work to serve the senior community statewide. Bethel Resident Reappointed to Connecticut’s Legislative Commission on Aging Board
(Bethel, Connecticut)-Local resident Susan M. Tomanio, MSW, Director of Elderly Services for the City of Danbury has been reappointed to serve on the 21-volunteer member board of Connecticut’s Legislative Commission on Aging by Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano (R).
Ms. Tomanio was first appointed to the board of the non-partisan, public policy and research office in 2009. Since that time, the Commission’s legislative charge has grown as has the 65+ population, by a projected 57% increase by the year 2040. Connecticut is already the 7th oldest state in the nation with the 3rd longest lived constituency.
