The State of CT Department of Agriculture Senior Farmers’ Market Checks will be available for distribution to eligible Danbury seniors at Elmwood Hall- Danbury Senior Center starting Monday, July 8 at 10am. The checks are valued at $18 and are doubled at the CityCenter Danbury Farmers’ Market on the Danbury Green, as well as the CityCenter Farm Market on the Move located at Elmwood Hall-Danbury Senior Center. Checks are distributed on a first come first serve basis. In order to qualify you must be 60 years old, a Danbury resident and be within certain income guidelines, (household size of 1: $1,926 per month, household size of 2: $2,607 per month). You must be present to receive the checks (or request a proxy form) and present I.D.
Residents of Danbury Housing Authority Buildings – Crosby Manor, Glen Apts, Ives Manor, Putnam Towers, and Wooster Manor will receive these checks via the resident service coordinator of each respective building and will not be eligible to receive them at Elmwood Hall – Danbury Senior Center.
