All programs are subject to change. Thank you for your patience.

For the second year in a row, the Elmwood Hall Senior Center has partnered with the Danbury High School Peer Leadership class to support intergenerational programs in Danbury. Last year High School Student TeAva Mercado expanded the Senior Center’s “Coloring Circle” program by bringing it to some of the senior housing buildings, including Augustina Home, formally known as Bishop Curtis Homes. TeAva completed her project with a “Coloring Circle Showcase” where she brought seniors and their families and friends together with her fellow students to enjoy the work of the different seniors who participated in the program.
This year, Elisabeth Kelly and Amanda Keokot sponsored the Center’s monthly dance, turning it into a intergenerational “Spring Fling” with donations of refreshments, flowers, and a photo booth. All flowers that were donated were made into table centerpieces and raffled off to make money for The Prime Timers, Inc., Friends of Danbury Seniors, a non-profit 501c3 organization that supports programs at the Elmwood Hall Senior Center.
We thank these students for choosing the Senior Center for their projects and look forward to a continuing partnership with Danbury High School.
