Elmwood’s FINEST, the Elmwood Hall – Danbury Senior Center chorus returns for rehearsals beginning Wednesday, September 5, 2018. The chorus is always looking for new members. No singing experience required, just a love of music! Elmwood’s FINEST rehearses weekly Sepetember – December, with a December concert performance. They take the months of January and February off, and return again to rehearse in March with a final concert performance in June. A variety of music is performed from all decades and genres. Musicians are also welcome to come play along provided they have their own instruments. Elmwood’s FINEST chorus is under the direction of Jill D. Weiss. All over the age of 60 are welcome.
Dogs have been a source of constant companionship and support to people for centuries.
People often times confuse these three separate assistance animals by lumping them all together. Each type of assistance animal has a different level of access and different levels of training.
Come learn the difference between these dogs that assist people in a variety of different capacities.
Logan, a Pet Partners Certified Therapy Dog will be on hand for visits after the presentation.
Presented by Susan Tomanio, LCSW. Ms. Tomanio holds a post graduate certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy.

Every September on the first day of Fall, the Falls Free Initiative promotes National Falls Prevention Awareness Day. Elmwood Hall is pleased to take part in this effort to address the growing public health issue of falls, fall -related injuries and deaths.
