My name is April Chaplin and I am Connecticut’s Northwest Regional Mobility Manager from The Kennedy Center and Know How To Go CT. I market public and paratransit travel options, assist individuals with completing paratransit applications, identify gaps in services, provide free transportation matching services for individuals with disabilities, veterans and seniors. I visit senior centers, senior living communities, mental health and wellness programs, hospitals, substance abuse/addictions programs in a 45 town area and more to help spread the word about The Kennedy Center, Inc.’s Mobility Department and the valuable free services that we offer. These services include Paratransit 101, Travel Training, CT Reduced Fare Photo Identification Program, Senior Mobility, Driver Safety & Sensitivity and more. Additionally, I advocate for riders and transportation providers and develop new programs to continue connecting individuals with their destinations to keep them engaged in their communities. I am a FREE transportation resource for people with disabilities and seniors, and am partially funded through the CT State Department of Transportation. I look forward to meeting you and individuals who need our services in Danbury, CT.
