Enjoy this talk by Phil Pressel, a former Danburian and the author of the book Meeting the Challenge: the Hexagon KH-9 Reconnaissance Satellite.
He formerly worked as the project engineer designing top secret Hexagon KH-9 cameras. He has spoken at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and the Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

Embark on a jaunt to the past with this video seminar series created through Open Yale Courses (OYC). The seminars are conducted by historian, author and Yale University Professor David W. Blight. If you like history, we think you’ll love this wellresearched, 27-part program series that explores in great depth the Civil War period. All Danbury area seniors age 60 or older welcome at this yearly event. Cost per ticket is $15. Purchase tickets in advance at the Elmwood Hall Senior Center. Tickets go on sale on Monday, October 2 up until Wednesday, November 8. Included is a lovely Thanksgiving style lunch, dancing to the Kenny Lee Band, and fabulous raffle prizes. Delightfully hosted by Mayor Mark Boughton! An event not to be missed!
