Our Panelists:
Natalie Farrar is a registered nurse, has a master’s degree in nursing, is a certified dementia practitioner, and is a senior director here at RVNA.
Marilyn Fuller has been a hospice home care nurse since 2003. She currently works for VNA and Hospice of Fairfield Cty. Because of the toll this work can take on providers she has taken a break several times but realizes she misses it, has a calling for it, and keeps coming back to this important and rewarding work.
Carolyn DeRocco – is Vice President of Programs and Education at the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter. She has been supporting, caring for, and educating individuals affected with dementia over the last 25 years.
Ann Fowler-Cruz is of counsel to Cohen & Wolf PC. Attorney Fowler-Cruz specializes in Elder Law and is very familiar with the issues facing the elderly and their families. Ms. Fowler-Cruz has been a staunch advocate for the elderly and the disabled for more than a decade. She has the distinction of being a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and is accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her extensive knowledge in the area of elder law enables her to assist the elderly and the disabled in realizing the very best quality of life.
Janie Rakow – is Vice President of the International End of Life Doula Association. An end of life doula provides emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families through the end of life process.
