This commemorative program honors Rosa Parks who, on December 1st 1955, boarded a bus in Montgomery Alabama and refused to give up her seat to white passengers after the bus became full. Arrested and found guilty on December 5th 1955, this incident triggered the Montgomery Bus Boycott organized by Martin Luther King Jr. and remains a seminal event of the Civil Rights Movement.
