On Wednesday, October 17, the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection release a guide entitled: Homemaker Companion Agencies: A Guide for Consumers.”
According to their website, “The fact sheet is meant to help families understand the process of working with homemaker companion agencies so they are able to make the best decisions possible for their specific needs.”
“Hiring a homemaker companion can be a confusing process, but it’s incredibly important to do it right,” said Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull, “Families who need to hire a homemaker companion usually need to do it quickly, and have a lot to consider. We want to provide helpful information to these families to aid them in the process.”
