If you are a caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease, the Alzheimer’s Association is offering a 3-part course covering strategies to provide safe, effective and comfortable care in the middle stage of the disease. The course will be at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, 642 Danbury Road, Ridgefield, from 5 P.M. – 7 P.M. on the following Wednesdays: October 21, October 28, and November 4. Guest speakers will discuss understanding and responding to dementia-related behaviors, effective communication strategies, and various resources available to caregivers. Join us in learning how to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers, and learn different techniques that are helpful during this stage of the disease.
